Cleeves Wood is situated in the beautiful hamlet of Kingsdown, in a tranquil and peaceful setting with stunning views across the Box valley.

Cleeves Wood offers two beautifully furnished rooms with comfortable beds, a luxurious bathroom and a great breakfast.

The Georgian city of Bath and the historic town of Bradford on Avon are just a short drive away.

Our bedrooms

We have two bedrooms newly furnished to the highest standard.

Both rooms include:

  • Tea and coffee making facilities
  • 26 inch flat screen television
  • Hairdryer
  • Cotton bathrobes
  • Wi-Fi for your laptop

Room one: king size double bed.

Room two: super king size bed, which can be converted into two full-size singles.

Our bathroom

Our large luxury bathroom features a walk-in power shower and full size bath.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in the dining room, which has patio doors leading into the garden.

Green fees at Kingsdown are £36 per person per day (under-18s are charged at half this rate), and you may play 18, 27 or 36 holes.

Discounts are available for single visitors.

Please note:

  • Payment must be made by cash or cheque (we do not accept debit / credit cards)
  • Arrivals are welcome from 4:00pm, though we are flexible
  • Departures can be accomodated up to 10:30am
  • All rooms are non-smoking
  • Off-road parking is available
  • Unfortunately Cleeves Wood is unsuitable for wheelchair users

Driving directions

You can also see a larger map or follow the directions below:

  • Take the M4 to Junction 18 (the Bath turn off), and follow the A46 signposted to Bath
  • Continue on the A46 (past the Bath turn off) along the dual carriageway to the roundabout at Bathford
  • Turn right onto the A363, signposted to Bradford on Avon, going under the railway arch, then immediately turn left to Bathford / Kingsdown
  • The Crown Pub will be on your right hand side, continue approximately one-and-a-half miles up Bathford Hill, and at the top of the hill turn left just past the Swan Inn (SN13 8BP) into Lower Kingsdown Road
  • Keeping the wood on your right hand side (passing the road closed sign), Cleeves Wood is a cream house about one third of a mile along the lane
  • Drive past the house and into the drive
